Changelog

Newest first. Noveriq checks for a new version once a day and updates itself, so the entry at the top is usually the one you are running.

1.0.14 210 August 2026

  • You can now choose how the panel opens: hover as before, or only on a click, in Settings > General > Opening. In click mode the panel closes the moment your pointer leaves it.
  • The notch opening on its own can be turned off entirely. Sounds and the bar's signals still announce; peeks and pop-ups stop.
  • Clicking the collapsed bar now actually registers. It never did - the click was silently swallowed - so snoozing nudges with a click works for the first time.
  • Settings got a redesign: icon tabs across the top instead of a cramped text strip, and every explanation cut to a single line.
  • A finished session no longer gets marked read by a sibling terminal tab that merely shares its folder.

1.0.13 17 August 2026

  • Going to a finished session's terminal yourself now marks it read. Reach it any way you like - Dock, Cmd-Tab, a click - stay two seconds, and the green calms down on its own. If Noveriq cannot tell your screen shows that exact tab, the green stays, so it never clears something you have not seen.

1.0.12 17 August 2026

  • The notch can now disappear entirely until an agent needs you. Turn on "Hide when nothing needs you" in Settings, General; hover the notch area any time to bring it back.
  • Refund requests moved to a short form on the website. The button in Settings is gone.

1.0.11 110 August 2026

  • Any tool can be answered from the notch now, including MCP calls. A tool Noveriq has no card for used to be a dead end offering only Deny and Jump; it shows what the call will actually do and offers the same Allow, Allow for this session and Always allow as everything else.
  • Always allow is only offered where it will genuinely last. On agents that cannot keep it, it used to quietly become a one-time yes.
  • The collapsed bar is as wide as what is in it, instead of always reserving room for four agents. With one agent running it takes about a third less of your menu bar, and with nothing running it shrinks to the notch itself.
  • On a Mac with no notch the bar is far smaller again. It used to draw an empty 190-point imitation of a camera housing that screen does not have.
  • The usage bars say how long is left, inside the bar: how much of the window is spent, and when it comes back, in one glance.
  • The notch can show your quota instead of the mascot. Settings, under Notch corner.

1.0.10 10 August 2026

  • The first-launch tour can be walked backwards, and its card can be dragged out of the way. It used to sit over System Settings at exactly the moment it asked you to open System Settings.
  • The tour says what Accessibility is for and, just as plainly, what it cannot do.
  • The demo row in the notch is labelled as a demo, so a tour step is never mistaken for a real session.
  • On a Mac with no notch the bar is now exactly as tall as that Mac's own menu bar. It used to copy a MacBook Pro's notch height and hang over whatever was open behind it.

1.0.9 10 August 2026

  • Choose which display the notch lives on: all of them, whichever you last clicked on, or one you name. It is in Settings, under Display.
  • A named display is remembered across reboots and cable swaps, so the notch comes back where you put it.
  • The notch can hide over a full-screen app, and comes straight back the moment something needs you.
  • Panels are shown and hidden now rather than torn down and rebuilt, so switching displays is instant.
  • One screen going to sleep no longer freezes the mascot on another.

1.0.8 10 August 2026

  • Agents running inside an app rather than a terminal now show up: Cursor's agent panel and the Codex desktop app. They used to be invisible, because the notch found sessions by their terminal and these have none.
  • Jumping to one of those sessions brings its host app forward.
  • A session started somewhere with no project folder says so, instead of calling itself "unknown".

1.0.7 10 August 2026

  • A session that finishes now stays unread until you deal with it. The green pip used to mean "finished at some point", which made two finished sessions look identical and made the collapsed badge a count that could only climb.
  • An unread finish breathes, so the one that just landed is the one you notice.
  • Jumping to a session marks it read. So does Mark read, if you only wanted to know.

1.0.6 10 August 2026

  • First launch opens a guided tour: five steps, a real permission card you can press, and a skip button that means it.
  • The cat from the icon is the mascot now, and it ships turned on. Working is a different motion from waiting, not just a faster one.
  • Replay Intro in the menu, for when you want it again.
  • A new app icon, drawn to Apple's grid.
  • A licensed sound set, and the licence receipt to go with it.
  • Entering a key that works now says so, instead of leaving you to guess.

1.0 10 August 2026

  • Watch, approve and answer Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code and opencode from the notch. Any other agent CLI is detected while it runs.
  • Permission requests open as a card carrying the real request: the shell command, the edit, the file being written, the plan.
  • Say yes once, for the session, or always. Destructive shell commands are called out before you press anything.
  • When an agent asks you to choose, the options render as buttons and your answer goes straight back to it.
  • Click a session to bring its terminal tab forward, not just the terminal app.
  • Every session shows how full its context window is, amber past 70% and red past 90%.
  • A waiting session announces itself, nudges again at one, five and fifteen minutes, then stops asking.
  • On a display without a notch it draws a pill with the same geometry, so every screen looks like the same machine.
  • Sessions survive a quit and a relaunch.
  • Your code and your transcripts stay on your Mac. No account, no analytics.
